The Core Sound Waterfowl Museum & Heritage Center will host the 2026 Heritage Auction at Waterfowl Weekend on December 5 at 2 pm. The event will be held at 1785 Harkers Island Road, Harkers Island.

Core Sound is excited to welcome Leland Little of Leland Little Auction House to conduct this auction. This charity auction benefits the Core Sound Museum’s year-round programming.

Ninety decoys will be offered for sale coming from several prominent collections across the years. Names like Murphy, Willis, Paul, Mason, Fulcher, Hamilton, Lewis, Lawrence, Burgess, Harris, Edwards, and Davis reflect the importance of these decoys.

Throughout November, an image of a select decoy from this collection will be posted daily on the Core Sound Museum's facebook page, the auction’s event page and shared throughout the decoy social media network.

This auction is LIVE; no phone bids, no online availability.

A preview of these decoys will be available at 5 pm, Friday evening - December 4, at the Museum during the Museum's Annual Waterfowl Weekend Chow Down that kicks off the weekend event.

We encourage you to arrive early, seating is limited.
