Milk Street Soap
Milk Street Soap
Milk Street Soap is a line of handmade, organic soaps just came to market in 2013. Kimberly and Roger Meacham have been crafting these products on the Outer Banks of North Carolina (Ocracoke Island) for years. It all began when their young son was suffering from terrible eczema and needed a product that was gentle and nourishing. Luckily, the Meachams are of an artistic bent, so they tried making their own restorative soap. Delight! It worked wonders! Their son's skin rapidly healed and pretty soon family and friends were snatching up every extra bar they made. Now having bathed nearly 80% of Ocracoke Island, they decided it was time to lather up the love on the mainland.
At Milk Street Soap Company, they believe in organic, big lathery bubbles, shower blooming symphonies of aromatic essential oil scents, nurturing moisture, exceptionally long lasting quality and Earth conscience handcrafting. They use only the best and most thoughtful ingredients in their products. Every single ingredient counts; including the 100% post consumer paper of the wrappers and the compost-able ink printed on them.
The bars average about 60 showers, often out lasting commercial bars. Milk Street bars bubble big, smell great during use, rinse clean and leave you supple, nurtured and feeling healthy! It is recommend that you keep the bar out of direct stream of shower water and allow to dry between uses for an experience that will go on to the last sweet, little nub of useful, delicious smelling soap bit.
Our Museum Store presented this line of soaps in our brick and mortar space Summer 2017 and these are some of our best sellers to date! When you open up your package, your senses will be pleasantly assaulted and whether you give these as a gift or use them for yourself, you will be coming back for more! Luxury never had it so good and neither has your skin!
