Join us for a special concert from the Tony Award-winning group, The Red Clay Ramblers! The band, which is in its 44th year, is holding the concert in Joslyn Hall at Carteret Community College on Oct. 7 and 8, 2016. Concert proceeds will benefit the North Carolina Coastal Federation and the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum & Heritage Center.
The Red Clay Ramblers are a North Carolina-based string band “whose repertoire reflects their roots in old-time mountain music, as well as bluegrass, country rock, New Orleans jazz, gospel, and the American musical.” The Red Clay Ramblers have been called “the house band of North Carolina” but have also toured around world and performed on many types of stages. The band’s current lineup features Bland Simpson on piano, Jack Herrick on trumpet and bass, Clay Buckner on fiddle, Chris Frank on guitar and Rob Ladd on drums.
