Lena Ennis grew up on the beautiful Crystal Coast of North Carolina and lives
there today. She began her life in art at an early age, learning to draw
and paint from hergrandmother, a southwestern landscape artist. She
attended the School of Art at East Carolina University and has been a
commerical artist and freelance artist for many years.
Several of my
designs have been used by the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament and she was featured as CSWM Membership Artist for 2001-2002. She was also selected as the artist
for the North Carolina Seafood Festival in 2003 for their yearly print.
She works in many different mediums and her subject matter includes
portraiture, wildlife, seascapes and landscapes. Her goal in any
painting or drawing is to capture the personality of that subject and
to tell a story to the viewer. In many of her coastal paintings, she tries
to impart to the viewer the rich heritage and traditions of the local
people.
