We are looking forward to attending our first festival. We will be coming from Pittsburgh. We have watched the progress of the museum and Willow Pond in the summers over the last 6-7 years and are anxious to see the site in the fall/winter. See you at the festival

Thanks to Martin Yeomans, Jr., I now know my pride and witness of the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum is working. I met Martin at the produce section at Lowes Food Store. He helped me obtain soy based cheese that tastes great and is good for your health. He does a fantastic job for his employer and will be a great volunteer for the museum. Lets all welcome him.

Having just checked out this web sight, I just had to leave a note saying how special this little island on the outer banks of North Carolina is to me. I first visited some twenty years ago and my heart is still drawn there. The statement is certainly true that once you have a friend on the island, you have a friend for life. We love Ruby and miss Julian.

I joined the museum in March of this year. Thanks to Thom Stryon. I think what Karen and the mueseum is doing to preserve our "downeast" hertiage is something every downeaster should support.

We think the new Cape Lookout Lighthouse License Plates are a wonderful idea. Not only will it let us showcase our wonderful lighthouse, but also is a great way to raise money for the Core Sound Museum.

I think what you are trying to do is very important. My husband and I enjoy spending time on the Outer Banks of NC and feel that it is very important to perserve as much of our natural resources as possible. It is very important part of the future for all people. Thank you for your time and efforts which are put forth. I look forward to a visit in the near future the new facility.

Just got back from a weekend at our place on Harkers Island (can't wait until I can retire and move there forever!). Stopped in the Museaum Gift Shop as I was leaving the island to buy a copy of that famous Harkers Island cookbook. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the museum and am looking forward to the opening of the new museum this fall!

This is the first time I have seen this web site. It looks great. I wouldn't have seen it except for Carol sending me the email about David's Day. I wish I could be there. My prayers go to David and all his family and to those who have had the blessing of being near him these past years. I know he loves the museum and was proud to be a part of it. What a great legacy this museum is for Harkers Island and its families.

I attended my first Decoy Festival in December, 1999. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been and will continue to be recommending the festival to all of my guests at our motel. Thank you for such an enjoyable event in Carteret County.
